Sae Socket

u have a socket…for three pin plug…top one is for earthing…sae left one?
is for neutral terminal and right one is for live terminal…now…if power supply(MAINS 240 V) is on…i mean the switch is on…and if i touch a liv wire..and i am standing on ground…will i get shock???ans. this….and second question…if i am on a wooden floor in the same situation..wil i get shock??if no…then y not??bcoz the current shud flow through our body as it is a conductor..and bcoz there is wooden floor beneath it shud stop at the thumb of my leg….
Edit, I am not condoning/ suggesting that working on any live electrical circuit is safe.
You should always unplug anything you want to work on, or lock out and tag out a piece of industrial equipment.

For the first part of your question;

It depends on how damp the ground is and the moisture content in the soles of your shoes and socks.
Dry ground, new shoes, dry socks, that you just put on, like 5 seconds before you touch the live wire, not a chance of getting shocked.
For the second part of your question;
“if i am on a wooden floor in the same situation..wil i get shock ?”
No you will not get shocked.
Wood, if dry, and there is a finish on it, is a good insulator.
In both cases, in order to get shocked, there must be a path, through your body to a good ground.
This is why birds can land on a electrical wire and not get electrocuted.
I have a cousin that works for Montana Power and works on live 500,000 volt lines, in a basket attached to the line, and does not get shocked.
